In addition to your primary attributes, you will also see a range of secondary attributes. They are Health, Shaper Energy and Movement.
Health
There are three health traits in total, representing your ability to sustain physical, emotional and mental damage and fatigue. On your character sheet you will see that each one has two boxes for you to fill in. Your maximum is where you record your permanent health score. Your current health starts out the same, but will go up and down as you sustain damage or when you heal.
For each health trait your maximum is equal to your related Attributes of Strength + (2 x Fortitude). So Physical Health equals Physical Strength + (2 x Physical Fortitude), etc.
Shaper Energy
If your character has any points in the Shaping attribute, then he will also have a pool of Shaper Energy points equal to the attribute. Shaper Energy can be spent and regained during play. Your maximum represents the total number of Shaper Energy points you can store. Your current level starts at the same value as your maximum.
Movement
How quick you are on your feet is based upon your Physical Agility (PA). On your character sheet you will see there are four movement rates mentioned representing your normal walking rate, jogging, running and sprinting.
Movement in Shapers is measured in meters per round (you’ll find out about rounds later).
Calculate your different movement rates as follows and add them to your sheet.
Walking = PA x ½
Jogging = PA x 1 (in other words it’s just your PA)
Running = PA x 2
Sprinting = PA x4
For example, if you rolled a 3 for your PA, your walking speed would be 1.5, jogging would be 3, running 6 and sprinting 12.
