That’s about the size of it

Okay, I freely admit that I am one of those people that once they start thinking about something, they can’t stop.

I am still thinking about size.

This time I present a couple of spells that are a staple of the fantasy genre, being able to shrink or grow your allies and enemies alike! These are Arcane spells for WFRP 4e, so can be used by any arcane spell caster.

Grow

CN: 8

Range: Willpower yards

Target: 1

Duration: Willpower minutes

The target grows by one size category (Average becomes Large, etc.). For every +2 SL you may increase the size change by an additional step. Any items worn or carried by the target (except other creatures) are also affected.

Shrink

CN: 8

Range: Willpower yards

Target: 1

Duration: Willpower minutes

The target shrinks by one size category. For every +2 SL you may increase the size change by an additional step. Any items worn or carried by the target (except other creatures) are also affected.

Are these two spells particularly powerful? Well, yes. They are CN 8, but have a number of uses. Imagine buffing up the fighter in your group to even the odds when facing something particularly large, like a bear with Size (Enormous). Perhaps shrinking is more your thing? You could escape a dungeon cell with ease by slipping between the bars, or perhaps turn your enemies into itty bitty versions of themselves? Don’t forget those Lore effects as well. If you’re a Bright wizard you could shrink your foes and make them burn! Ouch.

Let me know what you think in the comments and I especially want to know if you use either of these spells in your games!
